UPDATE: It was previously stated on the timetables that Rob VanWest was scheduled for Saturday night and Creep-P was scheduled for Friday night. They have changed places and now Rob VanWest will be opening for Zoe VanWest on Friday and Creep-P will be opening for DROP TEAM EPIC on Saturday. This is now reflected on the timetables and on the Facebook event page.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage large gatherings such as anime conventions into cancellation, Realms Con was no exception to the long list of fandom conventions that had to close in 2020; however, virtual events would propagate and take the place of the fallen shows to continue the spirit of the event. As a result of these virtual events; so to speak, we can definitely party in spirit. Although Realms Con may not be happening this weekend, that does not mean that we can’t celebrate Realms Con. This Friday, October 2nd, Realms Con, along with HakubiVerse, Hard Dance Texas, Neon Genesis Hardcore, and Anivents Unlimited come together to bring an even bigger massive than what was brought at Nation of the Nightkids as they present the 3-Day festival, Dream Drop Revolution ONLINE, starting 6PM Eastern / 5PM Central.
Dream Drop Revolution ONLINE is the 3rd annual Dream Drop Revolution event since first finding its home at Realms Con in 2018 and the 5th Dream Drop Revolution overall. Past Dream Drop Revolution events included: Dream Drop Revolution in 2012, Dream Drop Revolution HD 2nd ReMIX in 2013, Dream Drop Revolution R in 2018, and Dream Drop Revolution VERSUS 2 in 2019. Dream Drop Revolution ONLINE will feature 29 performers across 31 acts streaming their sets from their individual performance spaces or on virtual platforms and visuals with sight and sound experiences similarly found at anime conventions.
