As June transitions to July and we enter the heart of the summer convention season; we are ever coming close to Okashicon, Texas’ iconic event celebrating Japanese-pop culture, fashion, and lifestyle. Just before June ended, Okashicon has announced their new dance party series to headline their Saturday’s late-night events: Okashi Crossing, featuring HakubiVerse DJs Sephi Hakubi & Brandon Legacy, along with the return of the fandom’s favorite Trance producer, Gilbert Carrizales.
Okashi Crossing is 4 hours of an AnimEDM adventure with three incredible legends performing three distinctive genres. Sephi Hakubi is expecting to kick off Okashi Crossing off with House, Big Room, and Japanese-club sound.; Following Sephi is Gilbert Carrizales taking the anime con stage for the first time since Realms Con 2019 with an original live play of Trance and quite possibly with many new tracks conceived since his last live show. Finally, Brandon Legacy makes his anime convention debut turning up the energy with Hardcore Dance Music to finish the night.
Okashicon will be taking place at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Pflugerville and Pflugerville Conference Center in Pflugerville, Texas July 8th through the 10th. Okashi Crossing will take place Saturday night July 9th at 10PM in the Konpeito Events Hall; furthermore, Sephi Hakubi will also be mixing groovy J-Pop, House, and Club sounds during the Candy Pop Carnival JFashion mixer Sunday morning at 11AM (separate Candy Pop Carnival ticket required).
