HakubiVerse and Hard Dance Texas had an incredibly long but incredibly amazing weekend broadcasting across internet radio as the 2-Day WeekEND Rave Smash Virtual Music Festival took place. Motivated by providing hope to the world during a time of turmoil, the festival showcased 23 Electronic Dance Music acts during a very tumultuous weekend, continuing to bring positivity and hope to those that need it most and keeping PLUR high and alive on HakubiVerse’s official Discord server. Every single act on the lineup did an amazing job and each one brought a unique quality on their set that represented their incredible signature. The event took place without difficulty nor incident and everyone who stuck around during the post-show finale after Hartshorn‘s headlining set was in elated emotions when Sephi Hakubi announced that WeekEND Rave Smash will return next year, this time on Twitch.
However, additional surprises were alluded throughout the festival and on Discord and eventually announced during the WRS Festival post-show. Sephi announced during the festival that although the live-event Nation of the Nightkids 2020 (Sephi Hakubi’s Birthday Show) is cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, HakubiVerse will be hosting an online version of NotNK on Twitch which will serve as the official after-party for Okashicon (which also recently announced their conversion from a live event). Nation of the Nightkids Online will take place on twitch.tv/hakubiverse on the night of July 18th, 2020 following Okashicon At Home. Sephi had also announced after his headlining set on Saturday that he would be bringing back “Weekly Rave Smash” and later described during the WRS Festival post-show that he intends on reviving his weekly episodic EDM radio show in July and has referred to it as “Rave Smash” which will take place on HakubiVerse’s Twitch channel.
